The Hino 258LP (Low Profile) is a very versatile truck. Its low profile, coupled with a combination of superb maneuverability, payload capability and 6 available wheelbases (187" - 271"), make it ideal for towing, landscaping and the delivery of building materials, furniture and general freight.

The 258LP features the Hino J-series 6 cylinder turbo diesel engine with 220 horsepower mated to either a 6-speed Eaton manual transmission or an optional Allison 2200RDS 6-speed automatic transmission. Both transmissions provide PTO capability. Hydraulic disc brakes with ABS are standard equipment. The 258LP can also be ordered with optional Hendrickson rear air suspension, ideal for shock sensitive loads and a smoother ride.

The 258LP features an 8,000 lb. front axle and a 17,500 lb. rear axle combine to provide a GVWR of 25,500 lbs.
